Knock knock

Yes Sam has discovered the knock knock joke. The first time it was funny & cute:

Knock, knock.
Who's there?
Mr. Bear.
Mr. Bear who?
Mr. Bear bananna!
(Sam laughs)
Haha, good job Sam!

Then we get:

Knock, knock.
Who's there?
Mr. Bear.
Mr. Bear who?
Mr. Bear butt!
(Sam laughs harder)
Yup, that's a knock knock all right.

And finally my favorite:

Knock, knock.
Who's there?
Mr. Bear.
Mr. Bear who?
Mr. Bear poop!
(Sam laughs histerically)
Ok Sam, now you're just acting like a boy being gross.

Then Eli gets into the action:

Knock, knock.
Who's there?
Mr. Bear bananna.
Mr. Bear bananna who?
Say hi!
Hi Mr. Bear bananna.
(Eli laughs histerically)

*sigh*

My Dad is bringing overa book of real knock knock jokes this weekend. Thanks Dad!

We've also been treated to hearing "Hey mom, guess what?" "What?" "That's what HAHAHAHA!" about 97 times a day.

Boys.

My son's shouting-vomits might be better than the 97 "Guess what?" renditions. Or not.

Oh that's cute :) I have a repertoire of five knock knock jokes that I run through all the time and Lillian will still laugh at them. Or maybe she's just laughing at me :)

Little kid knock knock jokes are so painful. My son went through a phase when he was about 4. It was cute the first 5 or 6 times he said them but it was the next 250 times that were really starting to get old.

Luckily the phase ended quickly!

My little brother used to tell these elaborate jokes and then once he finally got to the end... he would forget the punchline.

And any joke involving butts or poo is much better than any other joke not containing one or both.

LOL, several years ago Josh came up with the "bear butt" knock knock joke and laughed like it was the funniest thing he ever said.

Kids... so much of everything rolled into one
