I just think kids are smarter than we give them credit for. And they listen to more than we think they do.
I'm thankful for what my parents did. They taught us to listen to songs and decide what we thought about the lyrics and the message. Even if a song has a really catchy beat, I have a hard time listening to it if the lyrics are angry and abusive.
P.S. Listening to lyrics also helps kids later when trying to analyze poetry. =)
